The Mayflower - in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

“The Mayflower”

The Mayflower will be the first steam train to traverse the remains of the branch to Aldeburgh since Beeching. On top of this we shall also be the first steam train to reach Ipswich Griffin Wharf, possibly since the 1950s - so, a memorable event rounded off with a run to Harwich Town, birthplace of “Mayflower” and once home of the train-ferry to Holland.

With just six weeks to go before The Mayflower takes to the rails, we are now making the last remaining few seats available to purchase from our Ticket Office.

So if you would like to join us for what should be an interesting and memorable journey into East Anglia, covering some rare freight-only route miles, do please visit our Ticket Office and book your ticket as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: We had hoped to be able to supply a small range of hot meals on board, but due to staffing problems this is no longer possible. There will be a small selection of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, noodles, soups, crisps and chocolate available to purchase.  There will also be a small selection of real ale available, courtesy of The Kentish Belle, with all proceeds going to Macmillan.

There will be NO credit card handling facility on board so cash only for food and drink purchases, please.

If you have any queries, please email me or telephone 07518 045077
